Design Story

The wraparound surface is built in strict vertical order: arched lettering reading University of North Carolina, then a medallion holding the interlocked NC letterform in pale blue, then a ribbon banner naming the North Carolina Tar Heels, with a small date panel beneath. Scrollwork, quilted diamond lattice and faint gem-like accents frame the focal panel without competing with it. The palette stays restrained — porcelain white drifting into soft blue, edged with warm gilt line work. That restraint is what makes the monogram read instantly from across a room.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler silhouette, the tall proportion suits this layered hierarchy. The front-facing focal panel sits at eye level where the graphic scale matters most, while the ornamental border curves away toward the handle, keeping the composition legible from a single viewing angle.
