Deep black and oxblood dominate, with aged gold filigree curling through the wide ornamental border. Basketballs sit in the lower corners like corner cartouches on an antique carpet. The visual hierarchy is clean — name, crest, court, date — so the eye travels down the piece in one clear line, and the dark field gives the gold scrollwork enough negative space to breathe.
